Located on 1.3 acres of the California State University, Long Beach campus, this Japanese-style garden was created in 1981 thanks to a donation from Loraine Miller Collins in honor of her late husband Earl Burns Miller. It hosts lectures, screenings, workshops and festivals throughout the year.

It can also be rented out for private parties or weddings. Thus, it is closed on Saturdays for these events and also closed on Mondays. Hours vary by season. There is a small fee for individual visitors. Groups must call for reservations.
