Harvey Milk Promenade Park – Equality Plaza is located at 212 E. 3rd St, Long Beach, CA 90802.
As more and more brave people step forward and inspire others to do so as well, the park’s purpose will grow. It will be an evolving record, representing the new leaders and members of the Long Beach — Lesbian, Gay, Bi, and Transgender community as they emerge and take their rightful place in history.
The park will be in a constant state of growth and renewal and the roster of inspirational life-narratives will be understandably dynamic. Once the necessary qualifications for a person or event to be represented are agreed upon, they will insure that the park remains consistent to its mission, while allowing it to be dynamic and diverse in the stories that bring that mission to life.
