In Rainbow Harbor, located walking distance from the Aquarium of the Pacific and the Convention Center, sits a charming waterfront center with shopping, dining and entertainment. Once home to “The Pike” amusement park founded in 1902, this space formerly featured a boardwalk, grand bath house and a variety of rides, including a dual-track roller coaster called the Cyclone Racer (1930 – 1968).
Today, multi-colored Cape Cod fishing village style buildings house a number of shops and dining options. Also find venues with bicycle rentals and whale watching tours. Shoreline Village hosts several events throughout the year: New Year’s Eve, Long Beach Mardi Gras Parade, Native American Festival, Pirate Festival, and more.
