Volume #1 Featured Speakers:

Jamie Sims Coakley has been telling stories using various media for over twenty years. First as a musician/songwriter in her band WAXAPPLES, and more recently as a writer/director of a feature length documentary called ‘Cadillac Tramps, Life On The Edge’. Currently her creative time is occupied curating and producing content for her Gen X focused website, NADINERECORDSMEDIA.COM, where her aim is to shed a light on
creative people living creative lives despite all the odds. She is also
writing her first novel, a science fiction work set in Los Angeles in
2073.

Melanie Riecke Hiller is an educator, storyteller, radio producer and
activist. Her community involvement is powered by the belief that when we share our stories, we realize our connections. Melanie produces a radio program called ‘Still Life’ for KLBP, Long Beach public radio.
She has performed in, hosted and curated storytelling events throughout the city. Melanie has also designed community art installations for Sound Walk and Retro Row.

Ra Avis is an award-winning blogger, a once-upon-a-time inmate, a
reluctantly optimistic widow, and a generational storyteller. Ra reads
her poetry live at events throughout Southern California and writes
regularly at Rarasaur.com.

Rebecca Lynn is a Long Beach native. She grew up attending public schools here, playing violin in the orchestras from 4th grade through college. She studied music, singing, and teaching, as well as Earth science and the most pressing environmental concerns we all face. Rebecca has a bio centrist view.
