#UpliftLB is a coordinated effort between the Long Beach Post/Long Beach Business Journal, Arts Council for Long Beach and The Nonprofit Partnership, designed to help those whom the COVID-19 crisis has hit the hardest financially.
Inspired by the monthly Art Walk held in the East Village section of downtown Long Beach, our goal is to raise $10,000 or more to uplift the local artists, small businesses and nonprofits who are not only integral to the Art Walk experience, but to our city’s flourishing cultural scene.
Visual and performing artists. Bar and restaurant owners. Nonprofit workers. These are the people who dedicate their lives to their work and are the community builders that make Long Beach so great! Please join us on Tuesday, May 5th (yes, Cinco de Mayo AND Taco Tuesday AND #GivingTuesday!) for a virtual evening of art, music, dance, food and drink to give them a boost! We’ll be streaming live here on Facebook, as well as on our Long Beach Post and Hi-lo Instagram accounts and YouTube.
You can become a booster now, during or after the event by following this link: https://donate.keela.co/arts-council-for-long-beach/upliftlb.
